atcpicNorth Carolina ranks #9 in the nation for the number of women-owned businesses.

The Charlotte-Concord-Gastonia-Region is ranked #4 in 2016 by WalletHub for percentage growth of women-owned businesses.

However, it ranks #45 for growth in revenue.

What can help fuel an increase in sales?

Access to Capital, which continues to be a barrier that we must tear down.  NAWBO Charlotte is committed to not only educate the women owned businesses in our Region about their options in accessing capital and preparing them for the ASK, but we’ll make the introduction to the decision makers at local financial institutions.  That’s our goal at the Access to Capital: Be Ready for the ASK event on April 1, 2016.

Women entrepreneurs are the fastest growing sector in the small business community, owning approximately 30% of all businesses in the country, employing 7.9 million workers, generating $1.5 trillion in sales and playing a significant role in the national economy.  However, there is a direct association between access to capital and revenue growth.

We now have more options in shopping for a business loan, line of credit, equity crowdfunding, etc., but it can be an over-whelming process.  By providing you with an interactive workshop where you can discuss your questions with industry experts, NAWBO Charlotte will help prepare you for the ASK.

Are you ready to grow your business?  Join us on April 1st.
