Elizabeth Nisbet Miller, a Charlotte area native, has centered her entire career on business to business sales and marketing. Her work has been the construction of relationships through creative communications, mostly in customer service, telemarketing, direct sales, trade shows, print and electronic media. In addition to her corporate work, she has worked with non-profits, trade and professional associations, civic, cultural and educational institutions. Elizabeth graduated from Leadership Charlotte in 1998. She was nominated for the Charlotte Business Journal’s Women in Business Achievement Award as a result of her participation in the organization of First Trust Bank in 1999.
As President of the Charlotte Woman Business Owners Association, Elizabeth raised the visibility of that organization in 1999 by guiding its conversion into a chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. She encouraged the local partnership with Wachovia to expand and to establish a $10 billion loan program to East Coast NAWBO members. While a Member of the Board of Trustees of Montreat College from 1989 to 2002, she helped the college establish satellite locations, including the Charlotte campus, to offer undergraduate business and masters business degrees through a unique non-traditional program. Montreat College is currently an educational partner with NAWBO Charlotte.
Her community activities include participation on the Advisory Board of WDAV, a prominent classical music radio station affiliated with Davidson College. She is an active member of the Business Marketing Association Carolinas Chapter, a professional organization which promotes business to business marketing and career advancement.
